TheĀ M71FA300 is a digital automatic voltage regulator made by Marelli in Italy. Special add-on for 160-900 frames. This regulator senses 3 phases and adjusts excitation when needed. PMG andĀ Auxiliary windings is needed to power the AVR.

The MX321-2 automatic voltage regulator is used on larger Stamford generator alternator ends. Ā These units are installed as a standard from factory on alternator ends HC6 and P7 stamford frames. This regulator allows 3 phase sensing which is constantly sensing the voltages across all 3 lines vs just 2 lines like on other standard AVRs. As an added benefit the regulator enables quadrature droop input, this enables the chance for multiple synchronizing across many generator sets.
The Stamford AS480UL AVR is one of the newest automatic voltage regulators introduced as a standard on all P0/P1 Stamford frames. This voltage regulator uses the same functions as a standard Stamford regulator butĀ is made specificallyĀ to work with an Excitation Boost System (EBS) to provide a short-circuit current when needed. Unlike other regulators in the market this AVR in particular is UL rated and can be used in a UL2200 application.
