GENERAL

Part number RSK1101 kit includes: (3) Fwd diodes (3) Rev Diodes and (1) Surge suppressor (varistor).Ā This kit was originally designed for the discontinued Stamford BC series however the same kit can be used for the new P0 P1 Stamford frames.

For the complete rectifier assembly including diodes, surge suppressor installed on plates see P/N 45-0427 Complete Diode assembly

APPLICATIONS

  • Mainly used on Cummins Power Generation (CPG), Onan, Broadcrown and Hipower/Himoinsa generator sets
  • This kit is usually used on alternators with the AVR SX460, AS480-UL, SA465-2 and SX440 automatic voltage regulators. It is recommended to check and/or replace the voltage regulator when the diodes are changed

Ā Some additional AVRĀ calibrations may be needed. Ā When presented to industrial experts for technical evaluations they advised that there should be a way to control stator current. Stamford went ahead and added a current limit feature which helps the engine recover from starting large compressors and motors.
