Description

GENERAL

The SS321 AVR is a PMG excited automatic voltage regulator. AVR sensing input is 190 – 264 VAC and produces 3.7 amp continuous and 6A max for 10 seconds, 50/60HZ. This regulator also has a Quadrature Droop CT Input, External Voltage Adjustment input, Over Voltage Detector Input, Under Frequency Protection, Current Limit Input and a 4 second Soft Start Ramp Time feature. This is a great aftermarket alternative to the original Cummins Stamford MX321-2 & MX321 AVR.

    The MX342-2 AVR is a key model which resembles a lot of the same functions of the MX341-2 however, this model contains a switch which allows you to choose which power rating (KW) you are currently using the regulator in and will adjust accordingly. Ā Some additional AVRĀ calibrations may be needed. Ā When presented to industrial experts for technical evaluations they advised that there should be a way to control stator current. Stamford went ahead and added a current limit feature which helps the engine recover from starting large compressors and motors.
