The UVR6 automatic voltage regulator is responsible for maintaining and regulating AC voltage on generators. It is the most important board installed on the electrical AC generator end. The AVR contains Amp, Hz, Stability and Voltage pots for regulator adjustments. The UVR6 is set with factory settings and it needs adjusting in order to meet your diesel generator specification.

Perhaps one of the most commonly used AVR’s in the Stamford line. Known by many techs, electricians, engineers and end users, the SX460 voltage regulator is a superior regulator with easy to use settings and very low price. It’s ability to regulate voltage is essential with today’s power demand.
The MX342-2 AVR is a key model which resembles a lot of the same functions of the MX341-2 however, this model contains a switch which allows you to choose which power rating (KW) you are currently using the regulator in and will adjust accordingly. Some additional AVR calibrations may be needed. When presented to industrial experts for technical evaluations they advised that there should be a way to control stator current. Stamford went ahead and added a current limit feature which helps the engine recover from starting large compressors and motors.
This regulator needs to be used with a permanent magnet generator (PMG)
